Sandra Procter Lyons

We moved to Austin in 1985. I have taught in the same school district since 1986. I guess you could say my life is very settled and boring. I live with Larry, my husband, and our dog Midge.

Even after all of these years, I am still best friends with Sandra Choate Fowler. She is Shelli's Godmother and I am her daughter Lindsey's Godmother. It is wonderful to have a friend for such a long time. She knows me like no one else.

During the summer of 1967, I took pre-cal in summer school so that I could take calculus in the fall. One day I got called to the office, and I could not imagine why. I knew that we were allowed to wear sandals to summer school even though we could not wear them during the regular school year. It seems that "they" decided that the straps on my sandals were too thin and too much of my foot showed. I had to go home and change my shoes! OH MY HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
