Margaret was my good friend from 1960 until her death.  She loved music and walking and rocks and math and, mostly, adventures. She was stubborn and hard-headed and non-apolgetic about who she was - qualities I admired.  We ate school lunch together from seventh grade through the middle of our senior year from Frito pies at Jefferson to Burger Chef in high school. We went to Cooper football games together. We drove all the way to Dallas to see Gone With the Wind was re-released. She made me a polished rock mobile in college. I will miss her.

You described her perfectly, Chris.  She was so smart and she had such a dry sense of humor, even in Junior High.

I remember Margaret, not because we were close, but because she made an impression on me.  She was such a confident person yet kind and not boastful. It was a mix of qualities that I certainly didn't possess but truly admired.  I am sad to hear of her gaving passed away.  Your tribute is very fitting: no nonsense but heartfelt.
