John Corbett Woodle, Jr., Singer/Songwriter of Lakeway, Texas passed away August 2, 2010 at the age of 60.
He was born on July 3, 1950 to parents Juanita (Cook) and John Woodle, Sr in Colorado City, Texas. He is survived by his sister, Andrea St. Lawrence, of Austin, Texas.

Our Cooper High School classmate (and my cousin) John Woodle passed away recently in Austin of a heart attack. John was a very talented musician, songwriter, and one of the funniest people I've ever known; he was Steve Martin before Steve Martin.
God bless John. May he rest in peace.
John was great fun to share a class with. One day in Mrs. Griffin's English class John opened a bottle of apple blossom scent that made everyone cough. Mrs. Griffin was upset at everyone...until she started coughing, too. Then we all had to try to keep a straight face!
John was a great guy and a whole lot of fun to be around. He was also very musically talented. I had just recently gotten in touch with John to meet for lunch here in the Austin area, we never followed the tentative plans thru and I will always regret that I missed seeing John one last time. My sympathies go out to Chris, Charlotte and Charlie on the loss of their Cousin, John.
John was one of the best friends I have ever had. He was a musical and comic genius. More than a year since his passing I still think of him nearly everyday and feel a tug at my heart because I can't share the latest bizarre thought rattling around in my head that only he could truly appreciate. A great loss.
